Pillow Fight!!!!

Craziness!

We joined your Auntie Jane and Uncle Jason at the Pike Place Market today for a public Pillow Fight. It was terrific. We arrived a little early and watched some Street Corner Performers.

At precisely 3:15pm a street full of strangers all pulled out pillows from where they were hidden in back packs, bags, under shirts and anywhere else they could think of and began wildly swing them at each other. The fight opened up with the alarm of a loud whistle and concluded 3 minutes later with another sound from the whistle.

The atmosphere was electric! There were peels of laughter and screams of excitement. The police were on hand to control the crowd if it got out of hand but it didn’t. Everyone was great.

After the fight was completed the feathers starred drifting to the ground and the crowd began to disperse. Then you could see the mess. The street was littered with feathers. Two poor market employees rolled out a dumpster and began sweeping up the feathers. I was really impressed to see that the fighters stuck around and helped clean up.

We took some pictures in front of the market pig and went for lunch. What fun.
